Rapid Analysis of Aroma Components in Tobacco by Using Gas Purge-Microsyringe Extraction-Gas Chromatogrphy-Mass Spectrometry

A method based on the combination of gas purge-microsyringe extraction(GP-MSE)and GC/MS was developed to analyse aroma components in tobacco,which could be used to study the aroma contents in tobacco from different areas and different tobacco from same area.Compared with steam distillation and ultrasonic extractions,GP-MSE only took four minutes to extract aroma components.It was found that alcohols and heterocyclic compounds were the main species.The difference on aroma component species in tobacco from different areas was insignificant,but that on contents was significant,while the difference on both aroma components species and contents in different tobaccos from same area was insignificant.
