Study On Catalytic Spectrophotometric Determination of Trace Zirconium

Zirconium can catalyze the decolorization oxidation of Chrome blue black R by H 2O 2 in weak acid medium, The conditions of kinetics have been studied in detail and the optimum conditions of catalytic kinetic determination of zirconium were established. The detection limit of zirconium in this method is 3.74×10 -11 g/mL, and the linear response is in the range of 0~1.1μg/25mL zirconium. Satisfactory results were obtained for the determination of trace zirconium in alloy steel samples.
