Determination of 4-n-octyl phenol,4-n-nonyl phenol,nonyl phenol and bisphenol A in cosmetics by gas chromatography with mass spectrometry

The samples were extracted by methanol.Sample purification was performed on an UCT extraction column.The separation of four compounds was carried out on a DB-5ms column.The analytes were indentified with retention time and quantified by the external standard method.The calibration curves for the four compounds were linear in the range of 0-1000μg/L with the correlation coefficients more than0.99.The quantification limits of 4-n-octyl phenol and 4-n-nonyl phenol were 10μg/kg,nonylphenol was50μg/kg,and bisphenol A was 6.8μg/kg.The recoveries in emulsion and gel samples were in the range of 89.1%-102.7%.The method is accurate,fast and suitable for quantitative inspection of 4-n-octyl phenol,4-n-nonyl phenol,nonyl phenol and bisphenol A in emulsion and gel cosmetics.
