An Analysis on Deformation of Warp-knitted Mesh Fabric

Current research on warp-knitted mesh fabrics is mainly based on the discussion of the inductive design methods, such as chain notations and threading-in cycle which lack of the simulation of the true appearance of the mesh fabric. Therefore, this paper analyzes the lapping movement of typical mesh fabric stitches, and then concludes that the main reason for the deformation of mesh fabric is the mechanical action between the loops. By setting up the basic models of the loops and using three kinds of mesh fabric, i.e., hexagonal mesh fabric, diamond mesh fabric and grid mesh fabric, as the examples, mechanical analysis is carried out to explain the mesh deformation reasons and get the emulation effect picture. These analyses provide theoretical basis for the prediction of mesh shape in the future process, saving lots of production time.
