Isolation and Bioinformatics Analysis of Alleles for the Resistance to Bacterial Blight in Oryza meyeriana

Rice bacterial blight is one of the major bacterial diseases of rice production.O.meyeriana has the characteristics of high resistance to bacterial blight disease,and even immunity.Mining and breeding utilization of bacterial blight disease resistance genes from O.meyeriana can broaden the genetic basis of resistance to bacterial blight disease of rice.In the present study,we have successfully cloned two full length cDNA of Omxa13 and Omxa5 genes from O.meyeriana by transcriptome sequencing and 3 '/5' RACE method,which are the alleles of xa13 and xa5 for resistance to bacterial blight resistance of rice respectively,and carried out the bioinformatics analysis of Omxa5 and Omxa13 proteins.The phylogenetic analyses showed that O.meyeriana and is the closest to O.brachyantha.The structure of Omxa5 and Omxa13 proteins have the same conserved domains as their rice xa5 and xa13 orthologys,respectively.Taking into account the immunophenotype of O.meyeriana to PXO99 strain infection(result not shown),we speculated that amino acid variation in Mt N3.1 domain may influence the interaction of Omxa13 with COPT1 and COPT5,and maintain relatively high Cu concentration in xylem vessels host plants,and inhibit the growth of Xoo.
