The Dynamic Analysis of Water Loss in Cassava under Drought Treatment

To study the differences of drought tolerance ability and water loss situation among cassava varieties,this paper applied withdraw watering on the two domestic variety KU50 and SC124 in the soil culture pot experiment,analyzed the dynamic characteristic of water loss during the process of water withdrawing in the two tested cassava varieties,compared the water loss quantity and relative growth rate between the beginning and the end of drought treatment in the two varieties.Two results obtained:(1) there are different water-loss way responses to drought treatment between the two variety,SC124 take"slower-faster"water loss manner at the direct drought treatment,KU50 take"faster-slower"water loss manner upon the direct drought treatment.(2) a pre-drought acclimation treatment can significantly influence the water loss manner response to drought stress,and the response varied among the tested cassava varieties,both the absolute quantity and relative quantity of water loss in SC124 is lower than those in KU50 after undergo mild pre-drought acclimation treatment,the acclimation drought treatment could enhance SC124 drought-resistant ability much more degree,beside reducing the water loss quantity,SC124 can maintaining relatively stable growth.Dynamic analysis of water loss during cassava drought treatments helps us understand the lost track of internal water when cassava subjected to drought environment,thus helps the follow-up in-deep elucidation of physical properties responses to drought,and drought-tolerant genes mining.
