Effect of Plant Hormone on Response of Gossypium barbadens “eXinhai 17” to Verticillium wilt

Gossypium barbadense"Xinhai 17"with strong Verticillium wilt resistance was used to analyse DEGs(differentially expressed genes) of plant hormone pathways between the leaves and roots of "Xinhai 17"under Verticillium wilt stress for 8 h and 24 h. The results showed that, compared with no infection, only 25 DEGs which were least were identified in leaves after 8 hours infection, but 546 DEGs were identified in cotton roots after 8 h in hormone pathways. However, there were 629 and 729 DEGs in leaves and root tissue at 24 h compared with no infection, respectively. The down-expression DEGs were slightly more than up-expression in leaves, and the down-expression DEGs were obviously more than up-expression in roots about hormone pathways. These DEGs about plant hormone pathways would provide a physiological, biochemical and molecular basis for the research in responses of plant to pathogen infection.
