APPROACH TO DYNAMIC CONTROL OF 300t CONVERTER BLOWING PROCESS BY TORSIONAL VIBRATION SIGNAL

Control of blowing in converter process dynamically by vibration effect of the converter vess(?)l or that of the oxygen lan(?)e to determine the slag formation and to adjust the lance position and oxygen flow-rate. The record of torsional vibration signals on the 300t converter at Baoshan Iron and Steel Complex and its FFT analysis a(?)e presented in the paper. The vibration frequency values during various stages of the process are listed. The domain of time wave forms and the frepuency spectrum variations of the torsional vibration during blowing process are emphasized. It is indicated that when the torsional vibration signals on trunnion are 0.3-2.1 Hz, the fundamental frequency of main domain-of-time wave form is 0.3 Hz which is defined as the stirring circulation frequency of liquid steel in converter. The vari(?)tion tendency of the domain-of-time wave form during torsional vibra(?)ion may be shown by autopower spectrum of 0.3-0.35 Hz frequency band or its root. Some suggestions for further development of a real-time converter control system are also raised.
