STUDY ON ARC SUBMERGING REFINING SLAG FOR LADLE FURNACE

The arc submerging refining slag system was developed, which is able to meet the demands of refining in ladle furnace The average desulphurization rate with such slag is 70 49 % The qualification rate of steel plate has been increased by 2 5 % The transversal impact value of steel plate at -40 ℃ was enhanced almost twice The composition and physical properties of the refining slag are: basicity 3 4~4 2, (FeO)1 %, (Al 2O 3) 16 %~ 22 %, (MgO) 7 %~10 %, melting point 1360~1380 ℃, viscosity 0 40~0 45 Pa·s and surface tension (490~520)×10 -3 N/m
