ELIMINATION OF CENTRAL PIPE IN CONTINUOUSLY CAST BILLET OF HIGH CARBON STEEL

The formation and the way to eliminate central pipe of high carbon steel in continuously cast billet were analyzed theoretically Based on the data from 32 heats, the effect of casting speed on the central pipe is more important than that of overheat of molten steel The influence of parameters such as the TSR zone, the cooling water flow rate in TSR zone and in secondary cooling zone are also discussed
