FINITE ELEMENT ANALYSIS FOR EFFECT OF ROLLER RADIUS ON METAL DEFORMATION

The 3D elastic plastic thermo mechanical coupled FEM for large strain was applied to analyze the effect of roller radius on metal deformation in the deformation zone The distribution of equivalent strain, shearing strain and strain energy density for different roller radius is obtained The study has shown that the more roller radius, the more deformation is under the same other rolling conditions The results have practical meaning for grain refining of the product
