STRATEGY OF ROLLING DELAY ON REHEATING FURNACE

A dynamic mathematical model of reheating furnace operation was established according to the operation characteristics and the rolling delay process is studied. The principle of uniform reduction of rolling delay is proposed based on the effect of fuel flow rate on discharging temperature. The operation based on this principle makes the accumulated heat of the blanks along the hearth more uniform and reduces the fluctuation of discharging temperature to the minimum. The results indicate that this strategy can not only save the energy, but also improve heating efficiency.
