THE TENDENCY TO HIGH STRENGTH OF SPRING STEELS AND THE EFFECT OF ALLOYING ELEMENTS

With the development of modern transportation industry,there are an increasing needs for weight and cost savings.Therefore,considerable efforts have been made in the development of high performance spring steels with higher strength and longer life these years.In this paper,the methods to increase the strength of spring steels and it's developing trends are reviewed.As alloying modification is also an important method for the development of high performance spring steels,the effect of alloying elements in the spring steels and the alloying features of spring steels have also been discussed.
