Formation Reasons for Stack Accretion of No.2 Blast Furnace of Pansteel

FU Wei-guo(Panzhihua Iron and Steel Research Institute,Panzhihua 617000,Sichuan,China)  
No.2 blast furnace of Pan Steel was found to began accreting since June 2004.Now the height and thickness of accretions in the upper stack were amounted to 4-8m and 1.5-1.8m,respectively.This has seriously decreased the production,so the blast furnace had to blow out to treat the accretions.According to the investigating and analyzing for the accretions,the accretion formation reasons were clarified and prevention measures were put forward.The main measures are intensifying the manage of sinter materials and decreasing the amount of high content of ZnO materials charged into blast furnace.
