STEELMAKING PARAMETERS OF 45 STEEL WIRE ROD USED FOR HIGHSPEED ROLLING PRODUCED BY RECARBURIZING IN LADLE AND CC

MA Yuping (Maanshan Iron and Steel Co ,Ltd )  
The experimental investigation and commercial production of the 45 steel wire rod used for highspeed rolling by recarburizing after tapping in the ladle and CC have been proceeded since 1997 The key parameters of steelmaking and casting processes are investigated The molten steel meeting the requirement for CC is made by deep blowing in the converter with downstream recarburization and deoxidation in the ladle The finished product has features of homogeneous composition,good mechanical behavior and homogeneous all coil properties Based on the experimental and operational result,the optimal technological parameters are discussed
