EFFECT OF LASER IRRADIATION ON CORE LOSS OF SILICON STEEL SHEET WITH VARIOUS THICKNESS

The effects of laser irradiation and different surface roughness and thickness on the core loss of electrochemical finished silicon steel sheet have been investigated experimentally It shows that the core loss reduces with roughness decrease,and its rate is higher after laser irradiation relatively At the same time there are optimum ranges of thickness before and after laser irradiation for minumum of the core loss,i e :rolling direction is 0 16~0 18 mm,and transverse direction is 0 18~0 20 mm
