The Effect of Acid-volatile Sulfide in Sediments on Concentration of Heavy Metals in Water

XIAO Han,MOU Xiao-hong(School of Chemistry and Environmental Science,Guizhou University for Nationalities,Guiyang,Guizhou 550025,China)
The concentration distribution of bivalent toxicity metals in sediment and interstitial water was measured under the condition of sulfide existence to study the effect of toxicity gas degraded from organic matters on water ecological environment. The results showed that there was a positive correlation between the Zn or Pb concentration of marked sediments and concentration of Zn or Pb in pore-water and no relationship between the Zn or Pb concentration of marked sediments and the total quantity of Zn or Pb in sediments. The distribution of bivalent Zn and Pb in the sediment-interstitial water system was mainly affected by acid-volatile sulfides(AVS).
