Serological Analysis of Patients with Hepatitis C:report of 42 cases

The clinic data and serum markers of hepatitis C virus (HCV) from 42 hepatitis C Patients were investigated.The positive rates of the IgM type anti-HCV,IgG type anti-HCV and HCV RNA in the 42 patients with hepatitis C were 66.7%,71.4% and 59.5%.respectively.The positive rates of IgM type anti-HCV and HCV RNA were 88.9% and 66.7% in acute hepatitis group,which were significantly higher than that (50.0% and 54.20%) in chronic group.In patients with highly abnormal liver function tests.the positive rates of IgM type anti-HCV and HCV RNA were 79.3% and 72.4%.which were significantly higher than that (38.5% and 30.8%) in patients with mild liver function abnormality.The results indicated that Simultaneous detection of the three serum markers of HCV infection could increase ctiological diagnosis and prognosis of patients with hepatitis C infection.
