MEASUREMENT AND ANALYSIS OF VIBRATION IN BLASTING DEMOLITION OF A HIGHRISE BUILDING

During a 18-storeyed building was demolished by blasting method,the vibrations from blasting and building collapse were measured by use of a GDQJ-1A scale of seismic intensity.Through filtration and integration,the acceleration values recorded on measuring points were converted into velocity values.The analysis on measured data shows that the attenuation of blasting vibration amplitude is rapider than that of collapse vibration with increase of the distance between blasting center and a measure point,the period of attenuation is prolonged with the distance,and half-second delay detonators are suitable for avoiding the superposition of blasting vibration amplitude.So,the blasting vibration is main cause for the damage of structures near to blasting area while the collapse vibration is main cause for the damage of structures at a distance.
