Nonlinear Finite Element Analysis of a New Precast Beam-column Connection under Low Cycle Loading

Using a detail 3D nonlinear finite element model to simulate a new precast beam-column connection under low cycle loading,the precast frame connection is made of precast beam and precast column. The precast joint is modeled using 3D solid elements and surface-to-surface contact elements between the beam / column faces and interface grout in the vicinity of the connection. The pretension effect in the post-tensioning strand and the nonlinear material behavior of concrete are considered. The results calculated by finite element are compared to the results by test,and the results coincide well. The strain of mild-bar is difficult to attain in the experiment test,the prestressing bars are analyzed,and the prestressing bars do not yield. Through the finite element calculation of complex precast concrete connection,it could be give the reference for the relative beam-column connection finite element calculation.
