Failure Probability Analysis of Irregular Frame Structures under Rare Earthquake

Considering the actual situation of earthquake,the column hinge failure mode is adopted to study the failure probability on some classes of irregular frame layer collapse under seismic effect,and the shear amplification coefficient of irregular frame structure that rare earthquake relative to frequent earthquake is calculated through the mode based on displacement. Further exploration is made on the change of frame layer collapse's failure probability responding to the increase of seismic effect. The method is discussed to lower the failure probability of layer collapse in rare earthquake by improving bending strength of column ends.
