AN APPROACH ON WELDED STRUCTURE INTEGRITY ASSESSMENT FOR PRESSURE VESSELS

The feasibility with applying EPRI engineering method to welded structure integrity assessment of pressure vessels is analysed. Some special problems such as welding residual stress, small crack problem, material non-homogeneity, etc, are discussed. A software on integrity assessment for welded structure of pressure vessels is developed in this paper.
