MODEL FATIGUE TEST OF CABLE-GIRDER ANCHORAGE SYSTEM OF THE 2ND NANJING YANGTZE-RIVER BRIDGE

The cable-girder anchorage with anchor-box is adopted to connect the cable with steel box girder in the Second Nanjing Yangtze River Bridge. Its mechanic behavior is very complicated and the fatigue performance of the anchorage system under service live-loads needs special attention. The fatigue test of a full-scale model of the anchorage zone is introduced in this paper. Based on theoretical analysis, the stress contribution of the anchorage system under cyclic load and static load is analysized in detail, and the fatigue performance of the anchorage system under cyclic loads is assessed.
