Spherical Coordinate Descending Dimension Method for Angular Only Tracking

The different solving methods are analyzed starting from the nonlinear problem in Target Tracking(TT). A spherical coordinate descending dimension model is proposed by combining with the practical characteristics when ground based IR search tracking system is singly applied. A corresponding target angular only tracking algorithm is given. Both target status equation and measurement equation are simplified. Simulation testing for target tracking is carried out in the end. The simulation results show that the angular only tracking algorithm has good performances.
