An Imaging Processing Method for Measuring the Array Position of Diffraction Spot of High Power Laser Beam

The image processing method for measuring the central positions of various diffraction spots of high power laser beam with computer is presented in the paper.The operating know how of TIFF image format,determining the light intensity centers of various diffraction spots with gray level,eliminating noise spot with computer processing method,and the implementation of the subbeam focusing process of lenslet array in conventional Hartmann Shack sensor with computer software have been discussed.We programmed an image processing software and man machine interface is friendly carried out with PASCAL language.The method has been applied to the measurement of “Starlight Ⅱ” high power laser unit.
