Optic Fiber Grating Vision System

An optic fiber grating diffraction screen is developed by use of optical diffraction.Combining with computer neural network,a vision system for recognizing stereo shape is developed.The designing principle and calculating method for the optic fiber grating are introduced in the paper.The overall structure and operating principle of the system are given.The studying and recognizing for the stereo shapes such as triangular prism,triangular pyramid,quadrangular,rectangular pyramid and sphere have been carried out,and the experimental results are discussed.
