Application of FOG Method to Line Balancing:A Case Study

The capacity of a production line in the S company cannot meet the market demands.To solve this problem,the process of this production line is analyzed by using future operation growth(FOG) method and it is found that the line is not well-balanced.With FOG method,the line is redesigned such that it is well-balanced and capacity is increased with no more operator added.By this case study,it is shown how FOG can be used for line balancing.
