ZHANG Yutuan HUANG Chengfeng LU Minna,et al (Veterinary Medicine Institute of Guangdong Academy of Agricultural Sciences,Guangzhou 510640)
Experiments were undertaken to determine the effectiveness of various vaccination regimes for chicken Newcastle disease(ND).The effect of 4 ND vaccines was determined in chicks with both high and low maternal antibody levels. Results indicate that lower ND antibody titers were seen in chicks with high levels maternal antibodies when vaccinated with V4 and oil-emulsion vaccines as compared to other vaccine groups. However, high, antibody titers were reached in all vaccine groups when chicks with low maternal antibady levels were vaccinated.Due to these results,we designed several vaccination programs, experimental chickens were challenged with NDV at 45 and 70 days of 1 dose of Lasota-clone-30 eye-drip at 7 days of age,2 doses of Lasota-clone-30 in drinking water and 0.25ml oil emulsion vaccine IM.
