The Use of Thrombin-Gelatin Sponge Combined with Metronidazole to Prevent Hemorrhage after Extration of Teeth

The use of thrombin-gelatin sponge combined with metronidazole to prevent the complications including hemorrhage,dry socket after the extraction of teeth was reported.All subjects were divided randomly into two groups:experimental and control.The results was assessed in doubled-blind way,and demonstrated that the incidence rate of complications was lower in experimental group when comparing to control group.The difference was statistically significant.It was suggested that the use of thrombin-gelatin sponge combined with metronidazole can provide a stable effect in a simple way to prevent the complications after extraction of teeth.
