The 220kV Phase to Phase Composite Spacer for the Compact Transmission

In this paper, the research results and designing experience of the phase to phase composito spacer for the first entirely compact 220kV transmission in China are mainly introduced,especially by the research and analysis of the post-buckling characteristics and the insulation level of the phase to phase composite spacer, the new designing method of the phase to phasc composite spacer is proposed and 220kV phase to phase composite spacer for compact transmission has bccn first developed. The developed phase to phase composite spacer has paased clectro-mechanical test according to the given technical regulation, which solved a technical problem for carrying out engineering of the 220kV compact transmission and built foundation of thc research of the 500kV phase to phase composite spacer.
