Analysis of Accident of 110 kV MOA Arrester and Precaution

The accident of MO A on 110 kV bus in Yangtan substation is analyzed. The suggestions are given based on the analysis. It is proposed that the line type of MOA can be installed on transmission towers to reduce the lightning impulse. The example of fault of MOA discovered by monitoring is presented too.
