Dynamic Voltage Restorer Powered by Hybrid Energy Store System

Dynamic Voltage Restorer(DVR)can compensate load voltage instantly with energy store system.Properly planning the capacity ratio of the batteries and super capacitors and designing the paralleled controller of the hybrid energy system can effectively raise the whole working characteristic and economy of DVR.With the paralleled controller,we designed the instant and short-time voltage sags,which is compensated only by super capacitors while long-time voltage interrupts were afforded by batteries.Moreover,the hardware control circuit was introduced with a core of DSP(TMS20LF2812),the software of control circuit was programmed with C language,and detection system ensured the instant and accurate acquisition of net voltage.We also presented both MATLAB simulation and experiments on the application of super capacitors/ batteries hybrid energy store used in DVR.The results prove that this hybrid energy store system can effectively raise the integral working behaviour of DVR in the conditions of both long-time-last power interrupts and frequent voltage sag.
