Determination of tissue optical properties based on spatially resolved diffuse reflectance in a small source-detector separation

A fiber array probe is designed for the accurate measurement of diffuse reflectance in small source-detector seperations.By switching optical channels of two optical switches,the diffuse reflectances of ten positions are measured in the radial region 0.125~1.250 mm from the source,and the spatial resolution is 0.125 mm.The diffuse reflectance obtained by this experimental set agrees with the result of Monte Carlo simulation,and the reliability of measurement is validated.Therefore a Reverse Monte Carlo method is used to determine the properties of tissue phantom,and the results agree well with that of reported articles.
