Preparation and Affinity Assessment of Parathion Molecularly Imprinted Polymers

Molecularly imprinted polymer(MIP) microspheres were prepared by precipitation polymerization using parathion,methacrylic acid(MAA),ethylene glycol dimethacrylate(EGDMA),azobisisobutyronitrle(AIBN) and acetonitrile as template,functional monomer,cross-linker,initiator,and porogen respectively.Molecular modeling software and UV analysis were used to compute rational interaction between the template molecule and function monomer.Scanning electron microscope,yield analysis and adsorption test were used to obtain the relationship between the initiator dosage and the character of polymers.Adsorption test and Scatchard plot analysis reveal that the apparent maximum number of the polymers is 3.92 μmol/g and the dissociation constant is 91.7 μmol/L.Moreover,the obtained imprinted microspheres show a good selectivity for parathion.It is hopeful that the molecularly imprinted polymers can be used to enrich,separation,and analyze trace parathion residues in environment.
