The Preparation of New-Type Poly(meth) acrylates Used for Transparent Materials and Their Performances

The poly(meth)acrylates possess excellent transparency,light resistance and weatherability and they are widely used as optical plastics.In recent years the research and development of optical plastics has been focused on transparent polymer materials with high refractive index,excellent heat resistance and low hydroscopicity.The main ways to prepare new-type transparent polymer materials poly(meth)acrylates,including the methods of novel monomer synthesis polymerization,copolymerization,blend-copolymerization and organic-inorganic nano-hybridization,were reviewed in this paper.The characteristics of each method and the performances of transparent polymer materials prepared via each method were systematically summarized,showing potential application prospects of the methods of novel monomer synthesis polymerization and organic-inorganic nano-hybridization.
