Progress of Preparation and Characteristics of Molecularly Imprinted Polymeric Microspheres

As a new polymer material,molecularly imprinted polymeric microspheres(MIPMs) have attracted great interest for peculiar molecular recognition.MIPMs have a series of advantages,such as excellent selectivity,high adsorption,high efficiency in chromatography and easy design.MIPMIS can be used in some high technology fields,for instance solid-phase microextraction and chiral separations of pharmaceutical etc.In this article,the main methods of preparation of MIPMs were introduced,the advantages and disadvantages of these methods were also summarized.The effects of the methods on the properties of MIPMs were discussed.The characteristics methods of structure and performance were also introduced in detail.On the base of these reviews,the problems need to be resolved and the trends of development were discussed.
