Dynamic Simulation of Soil Water Movement under Deficit Irrigation

ZHANG Zhan yu, LAI Ming hua, ZHU Cheng li (Hohai University, Nanjing 210098, China)  
Two models of simulating soil water movement under deficit irrigation, i.e. field soil water balance model and soil water dynamics model, are introduced and analyzed in this paper. The calculating method for determining nonlinear soil water function within designed wetting layer also been presented. A case study was used to check the two models and results shows that the models are reasonable and suitable for using as new theoretical bases for deficit irrigation design.
