The chemical properties of pyrolysis products from Caragana Korshinskii

The distribution of product from pyrolysis of Caragana korshinskii under different temperature condition was studied in this rasearch. Meanwhile,the products( charcoal and tar) from pyrolysis under a temperature of 500℃ were characterized or analyzed by the equipment such as specific surface area analyzer and GC /MS.The results showed that the yield of charcoal decreased with the increase of pyrolysis temperature. However,the fixed C content in the charcoal increased with the increasing of pyrolysis temperatures. Charcoal from Caragana korshinskii was characterized by the high N content( 2. 5%),ash content( 14. 1%). It had a specific area of265 m2/g,among which the mesopore accounted for 56%. XRD patterns and FT- IR spectra revealed that the C in the charcoal was rearranged in a relatively stable structure,and functional groups such as carbonyl,ester and ether were distributed on the surface of charcoal. There were 54 aromatic compounds with the relative content of 52. 9% and 31 aliphatic compounds with the relative content of 38. 4% were identified from Caragana Korshinskii tar by GC /MS method,and heterocyclic oxygen 17 alkanes,4- Ethyl- 2- methoxyphenol and hexadecanoic acid were found with more than 3% of relative content.
