Structure,status quo and features of youth groups' ecological values——An empirical study based on 10 Chinese major cities

In order to understand the structure,status quo and features of youth groups' ecological values,Chinese version of New Ecological Paradigm scale was employed to investigated 8213 young people in 10 Chinese major cities. The results showed that,there were two dimensions existed in the NEP scale in China,i. e.,the New Environmental Paradigm and the Human Exceptionalism Paradigm. Chinese youth groups were more likely to accept new environmental paradigm and were undergoing an ecological paradigm shift from traditional society paradigm to the new ecological paradigm. Furthermore,socio-demographic characteristics such as gender,age,employment status,living years in present resident place,education were found to be relevant to youth groups' ecological values.
