Study on characteristics of dustfall in Yi Jin Huo Luo mine area,Ordos City

To evaluate the pollution level of atmospheric environment in coal mining area,the dust fall characteristics of monitoring samples in coal mining area were investigated. The study site is located in Yi Jin Huo Luo of Ordos,Inner Mongolia,China. The results indicated that the dustfall in December was the maximum,it was of 128. 94t/km~2·30d. The dustfall in April was the smallest,with about 42. 86t/km~2·30d. The monthly mean dustfalls in the spring and winter were significantly higher than that in summer and autumn. The distribution characteristics of dustfall area showed industrial area,mining area,transportation area were the main distribution area of dustfall. The annual average dustfall was 88. 79t/km~2·30d ~ 149. 65t/km~2·30d for the main distribution area of dustfall. 77. 83t/km~2·30d and 73. 93t/km~2·30d of the dustfalls were collected respectively in residential area and agricultural area. The dustfalls in the main distribution area were significantly higher than that of the residential area and agricultural area. The trend of dustfall decreased with the change of distance. Compared to the dust limit of other provinces and autonomous regions,dust in the study area was significantly higher than other regions,That indicate the coal mining was the main source of dustfall.
