Evaluating the effectiveness of three low impact development devices in the removal of stormwater contaminants

Selecting three Low Impact Development( LID) devices: permeable pavement,grass swales and bioretention,using the monitoring results of water samples from both the influent and the effluent in each LID system in 10 rainfall events,this study compared and analyzed the three LIDs stormwater contaminants removal effectiveness. The results from all monitoring indicators showed that,the best performing system was the bioretention,followed by the grass swales,and the permeable pavement was the weakest.
