Evaluation of organic pollution status of groundwater around the Bosten Lake

In order to study the pollution status and influencing factors of groundwater organic pollution around the Bosten Lake( Kaidu River-Kongque River Basin),the pollution index method was used to comprehensively evaluate the testing data of 82 groundwater samples and 15 river water samples. The evaluation results showed that the detection rates of organic pollutants in groundwater and river water samples in the study area were 24.4% and 6. 7% respectively,and none of the samples exceeded the standard. The groundwater samples in the study area were not polluted in 11 groups,lightly polluted in 8 groups,and moderately polluted in 1 group,they accounted for 13. 41%,9. 76% and 1. 22% of total groundwater samples respectively. The organic pollutants in groundwater in study area were mainly distributed in the north piedmont plain area of Yanqi Basin,Yanqi County and the northwest plain area of Bosten Lake,individual samples were distributed in urban area of Korla City.The organic pollution of groundwater around the Bosten Lake were mainly affected by industrial pollution source,agricultural pollution source,domestic pollution source,lithology of vadose zone,surface water quality and land use types.
