THE EFFECT OF EROSION ON SOIL PROPERTIES ON THE LOESS PLATEAU AREA

Based on field survey,plot experiment and laboratory analysis,the effect of erosion on soil properties are studied.The results show that the loss of particles less than 0.01mm in soil is the main factor which leads soil coarseness,soil structure deterioration and nutrients loss.The rate of soil structure deterioration increaces with slope gradient and erosion intensity;The total quantity of lost nutrients is correlated with the raise of slope gradient in power function.Nitrogen declines more quickly than other nutrients. \ \
