Cost-efficient Quality Management for Tissue

Jukka Sorsa(Metso Automation;Tampere,Finland)
There are many opportunities to make incremental improvements to the tissue-making process:reaching prime quality targets more quickly after a startup or after a web break, making grade changes more effectively and efficiently with less waste, and achieving better runnability through more stable machine operation.Add up these incremental improvements and the tissue making operation becomes more cost efffcient-something that every tissue maker is looking for these days.If expensive energy costs can be saved or production increases are realized, the returns can be even better.
