A "vacuum cannon"is a device that uses pressure difference as the source of power.In order to explore the physical parameters affecting the launching velocity,this paper designs and builds a device using vacuum cleaner as the pumping system.Experiments are carried out by changing various parameters such as the sectional area and length of the gun barrel,the sectional area,shape and mass of the projectile,and the vacuum degree in the gun barrel.The high-speed camera is used to record the experiment process,and the TRACTER is used to extract data.Based on the analysis of the experimental data,the aerodynamic model of the relationship between launching velocity and parameters of vacuum cannon is established,which can explain the experimental phenomena very well.
