MINERAL TYPOMORPHISM OF THE MAIN GOLD DEPOSITS OF HUNAN

Luo xianlin (No.16 Detachment of Gold Exploration of w.J.)  
The characteristic of the native gold in the main types of golddeposits in Hunan are all high purity (900). The ore minerals arrociatedwith native gold are chiefly pyrite, arsenopyrite, and stibnite. Accordingto the ratio of Au/Ag and Co/Ni, the association of metallogenieelements, and the composition of sulfur isotope of pyrite and arsenopyriteas well as the different mode of occurrence of native gold in differentgold deposits, these deposits have been classified as four types accordingto their origin by the writer. They are (1) metamorphic hydrothermaldeposit; (2) suubsurface hot brine leaching deposit; (3 volcanic-sedimentary and metamorphic hydrothrmal deposit; and (4) contactmetasomatic hydrothermal deposit.
