Research on a new hoof trimming and fixing device for dairy cows

Lameness is one of the three high incidence diseases of dairy cows,which can lead to the low reproductive efficiency,decreasing milk production and other disadvantages,and then,causing serious losses to dairy farmers.Artificial auxiliary or special bracket is commonly used in existing fix devices,which is risky and needs more laborious.When using the traditional technique,cows would bear great supporting force from hanging harness or ropes for a long time,which may cause uncomfortable and scrabble,and cannot achieve good diagnosing and hoof trimming effects,as well as the requirements of animal welfare.Therefore,a new hoof trimming device was developed,which has advantages of ensuring operating safety,improving working efficiency and satisfying the animal welfare,also has great significant and huge market demand.
