On the Low-Temperature Creep Characteristic of Asphalt Concrete in Direct Tension

Two creep models-attenuate creep and non-attenuate creep are analyzed in this paper based on the test result of low-temperature characteristic of standard and modified asphalt concrete in direct tension. An equation is proposed for calculating the creep of asphalt concrete in terms of the conditional long term strength and analytical characteristic of the stable section in the non-attenuate creep curve and accordingly a method of calculating-temperature stress is derived.
