Simulation Analysis for Staged Construction of a Multi-span Prestressed Continuous Bridge

The writer conducts simulation analysis for staged construction of Qingshanhe Bridge, a multi-span prestressed continuous bridge of Ma'anshan-Wuhu expressway in Anhui Province, and provides construction camber of the bridge at each construction stages in order to obtain the right design elevation after closure and application of live loads. During the sequentialinverse analysis, losses of prestressed strands and time dependent material properties such as creep and shrinkage have been included. The writer also demonstrates the conception of and the relationship between design camber, construction camber, formwork elevation and simulation analysis results, and discusses the method on how to dispose the results from the sequentialinverse analysis of bridge of small or medium spans.
