Research on Visual Attention Transfer Rules of Drivers at Entrance Sections of Expressway Tunnels

In order to research visual transfer characteristics of drivers when entering entrances of expressway tunnels,this paper carries out real car tests at 7 expressway tunnel entrances. The paper records eye movement behavior data of 3 drivers when entering tunnel entrances in real time by means of Eye Link II eye tracker. The paper adopts the K- means clustering method to classify areas of fixation of drivers,and studies transfer rules of points of regard of drivers in different areas of fixation by means of Markov Chain theory,and analyzes and compares difference in fixation distribution of drivers during entry into tunnel entrances. Research finds out that visual transfer frequencies of drivers when entering tunnel entrances increase obviously,and their points of fixation mainly focus on the front area. The results of research can provide theoretical basis for further study of safety of drivers when entering tunnel entrances.
